I am a recruiter who enjoys working with people who are serious about finding the right job or the right candidate.

With experience as an attorney, law firm recruiter, and search firm recruiter, I have a multi-dimensional and well-informed perspective on successful recruiting efforts.  I am here to help you put your best foot forward in order to find your dream job or candidate – all while making a complicated process feel  simple and seamless.

My Career

I began my career as a law firm associate but have spent the past 10+ years recruiting for some of Chicago’s largest firms.  Most recently, I served as the Director of Lateral Partner Recruiting for an AmLaw 100 firm where I hired dozens of partners, as well as numerous lateral associates, and created a robust integration plan that led to increased retention of lateral attorneys. Throughout my career, I have developed a keen sense for reading people and helping them determine what they truly want from their careers. It’s not uncommon for people to come to me thinking a certain firm or position is a perfect fit, only to radically change their thinking after we have spoken.

My Candidates and Clients

I coach my candidates to highlight their career accomplishments in a way that is natural and honest, emphasizing their skills and outlining how they have overcome weaknesses.  I help my candidates understand that their career transitions or setbacks strengthen their career arc.  Similarly, I help my clients strategically identify the type of hire that will best advance the company’s goals and which lateral attorney will make that meaningful difference to the company.

My Life

When I’m not returning candidate calls or scouting out the next great open position, I am heading to the public library with my daughters, working on my latest pottery project, or trying to break into the Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers Tournament. (Yes, it’s a thing. Contact me if you have an in.)
